BEHIND THE D.O.R.R. - OCTOBER 2019 ISSUE
Happy Fall Y'all! It actually feels a bit more like summer here in Ohio this week. Our temps have been in the low 90's with plenty of sunshine. We will take it as long as we can because all to soon we will be dealing with all that white stuff falling from the sky blanketing the ground we walk on. Instead of cute summer shoes we'll be wearing mukluks & boots. Which brings me to an update on the Cruise. Just a friendly reminder that on November 4, 2019 the next payment is due on the cruise, and just like September's payment, we will automatically charge the card you have on file with us. If you wish to use a different form of payment just make sure to let us know that a few days prior to due date so we have time to change that in our system.
Anyone still wishing to join us on our Decades Of Rock &Roll Cruise February 15 - 23, 2020 we still have a few spots open, but not many so be sure and contact us as soon as possible to secure your spot. Don't be held captive by the snow and ice. Join us and Do It The Caribbean Way. (click on the link to hear the Song "Caribbean Way" written by Penny Greene, Molly Pauken; and John Schwab)
SEPTEMBER TRAVELS
September was a busy month of travel for Decades Of Rock & Roll Cruise. We started the month off in the sweetest place on Earth with Phil Dirt & The Dozers when they played in Hershey, PA. They were the crowds favorite performing all those Vintage Rock & Roll hits of the 50's; 60's; and 70's. Very fun and entertaining weekend, but the best part of the trip was the chocolate that we ate all weekend long. Upon check in we were given a regular size chocolate bar, and if that wasn't enough, in our backstage dressing rooms, well you guessed it, MORE Chocolate. But they heard no complaints from any of us. It truly is the sweetest place on earth. If you are not a fan of chocolate then Hershey is definitely not the place to visit.
FEATURED VIDEO FOR SEPTEMBER
Last month we introduced you to a new feature of our newsletter. We had decided we would feature a video from one of our past cruises. We had a lot of positive feedback from that so we decided to continue to do it. So the video we chose for this month was originally made popular by Timi Yuro in 1961. Tony Alfano did a stellar performance of this song on our 2014 Decades Of Rock & Roll Cruise earning him a standing ovation.
We certainly hope you've enjoyed this issue of Behind The D.O.R.R. If you are enjoying this please leave us a comment. If there is something you would like us to feature in the next issue please let us know that as well. Lastly, If you haven't signed up for our mailing list please go to our home page and sign up. You will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a cruise for 2, you will receive updates for future special events, and will also be one of the first to know when we release the dates for our 2021 Decades Of Rock & Roll Cruise.
Until next time.....bye
